Vegan No-bake Carob Brownies 

Hey guys:) So a few nights ago I made some really yummy no-bake brownies that were vegan and sugar free. Total win, win.  Carob is a great substitute for those who can’t have chocolate. While I wouldn’t say it tastes just like chocolate(absolutely nothing can taste as glorious as chocolate. Sorry, guys), it does remind you a bit of it. But, whether or not it reminds you of chocolate, it’s still DELICIOUS. I paired these brownies with red wine, my favorite, imported straight from France. JUST KIDDING! Obviously, I don’t drink wine;)

Okay, so my point is: you have to try these. So, I’m leaving the recipe below.

1 cup raw walnuts

1 cup raw almonds

2 1/2 cups of dates

3/4 cup of either cocoa powder or carob powder
The first step here is to blend the nuts in a food processor(or a blender if you have a really good one). Blend them until they are finely ground.

Pour the nuts in a bowl and stir in your cocoa or carob(whichever you’re us using). Then, soak your dates for 10 minutes in a bowl of water. Add the nut/cocoa mix to the blender. Add a few dates at a time. Once they’re blended well, cover a small cookie sheet with wax paper. Flatten your brownie mix out on the pan. Let chill in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
