Hi again! So, this past weekend I had some family visiting from out of town, and I wanted to make a chocolate cake. However, this time I wanted to try making a devil’s food cake. I found a regular devil’s food cake recipe and changed it around a bit since I eat organically.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
1 cup of almond milk and two teaspoons of white vinegar
small bowl.2 cups of all purpose flour
2 cups of organic sugar
2/3 cup of Hershey’s cocoa powder
1 cup of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup of boiling water
Mix the almond milk and the vinegar together in a small bowl. Set aside for five minutes. In a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients except for the water and the baking soda. Mix together well. Add the baking soda to the boiling water. Add the baking soda/water mixture to the cake batter and mix it well(the batter will be of a thin consistency). Pour the cake batter into a greased 9×13 inch cake pan and bake for 35-45 minutes. Frost with desired frosting flavor.
